Bright Flag on behalf of Ark Line, a FedEx Ground contractor, is now hiring FedEx Delivery Route Drivers in the Gaithersburg, MD area. Drivers operate out of the Gaithersburg terminal and will be making deliveries to the Bethesda and Chevy Chase, MD areas. Our drivers use Box Trucks provided by the employer. No CDL is required! Terminal Location: 800 N Frederick Ave., Gaithersburg, MD, 20879 Pay: Starting $1.25/stop with a minimum of $750/five day a week Start Time: 8:00 am to delivery completion Schedule Example: Tuesday - Saturday; Sunday - Thursday Delivery Driver Benefits: Weekly Paycheck Paid Training ($15 per hour) 401K with company matching (after waiting period) Company-provided uniforms Safety oriented company culture Solid team atmosphere - no micromanaging!!! Pickup/Delivery Driver Job Information: We currently operate 7days per week, so availability on weekends is required. This is a physical job and requires that the delivery driver gets in and out of the truck at each stop Safe operation of company vehicles Requirements of Delivery Driver:All applicants must meet ALL of the following criteria (NO EXCEPTIONS): 1 year of verifiable work driving experience in the last 3 years. Military driving, taxi, Uber, pizza delivery, and landscape driving are acceptable experiences! Must be able to pass a Drug Test and DOT Medical / Physical Exam (paid by employer!). Background check required. Applicants must be 21 years of age or older and have a full drivers license (provisional licenses are not accepted). Physically able to handle packages up to 150 lbs. Have dependable transportation. Safety mindset The ability to locate addresses using GPS and/or maps is a must, as is a good general knowledge of our service area. Positive attitude + a team player! Responsibilities of the Pickup / Delivery Driver: Arrive at the Gaithersburg FedEx terminal to pick up the vehicle and packages Loading and unloading packages from the truck Picking up and delivering packages to the destination Scanning and Logging Packages SAFETY, INTEGRITY, SERVICE, and ATTENDANCE are top priorities!
